Become A Freedom Ally
Freedom Allies are partners who are interested in working with us as intentional volunteers. Roles include:
The UGNE Freedom Ambassador will be an external representative who understands and embraces the mission and vision of the organization.
The Ambassadors will play a key role at community events in assisting us at:
Our information table, answering questions and handing out material.
This role will speak for us in their own circles of influence such as civic organizations, school, the workplace, houses of worship, etc.
Freedom Assistants help UGNE staff with general administration and large scale projects that require printing, sorting, folding, stuffing envelopes and preparation for mailing.
A Freedom Event Partner will be scheduled to work at awareness and outreach events on behalf of UGNE. Event Assistants should have a thorough understanding of UGNE as well as the specific event they are assigned to.
Freedom Movers will be asked to assist in relocating mentees’ personal belongings to their new home. Freedom Drivers will pick up donated tangible goods to UGNE storage areas.
Throughout the year, UGNE provides backpacks, holiday bags and outreach bags to our DCF and social service organization partners.
This Ally would be responsible for Bags/Backpacks when available.
Picked up, sorting by drop-off location, and delivering. The bags are distributed throughout the State of CT.
Freedom Educators teach life skills training classes. They will work directly with mentees to instruct on a variety of skills including organization, housecleaning, cooking and other identified skills gaps. This position requires a background check.
Freedom Fundraisers plan and execute events on behalf of UGNE for fundraising purposes.
